Decorah's bald eagles have laid the first egg of the season at their nest near the Decorah Fish Hatchery.

Raptor Resource representative Bob Anderson says the first egg was laid on Wednesday afternoon. The eagles have laid three eggs the last two years. Each egg takes 35 days to hatch.
