New Minowa Players are offering a scholarship

The New Minowa Players, Decorah's community theater group, has announced it will be offering the New Minowa Players Scholarship for the 21st year.

The scholarship(s) will be presented to a member of the Senior Class of the Decorah, South Winneshiek or Turkey-Valley High Schools who has shown an interest in some area of drama and intends to pursue that involvement in an accredited college or vocational school.

Application forms for the $200 scholarship may be obtained from the head of the Drama Department or the guidance office of the participating schools.  The applications must be submitted for review by the Selection Committee no later than March 18th.

27 scholarships have been awarded in the past 20 years.  The recipients of the 2011 Scholarship were Allie Canoy of Decorah High School and Ethan Adams South Winneshiek High School.
