JC Penney announces restructuring

JC Penney has announced plans to restructure its business. However, the moves are not expected to directly impact the Decorah store.
In a news release Monday, company officials announced they would close five JCPenney department stores, including one at Southridge Mall in Des Moines. The news release said the stores "no longer meet the company's profitability threshold."
JC Penney officials also announced they would close all remaining 19 catalog outlet stores over the course of 2011 and 2012.
