Richard asks Mr. Answer Person: "What's happening with building new tennis courts in Decorah?"

Not much right now, but the new tennis courts are still in the works. The delay in making plans for the new courts right now has been caused by the Decorah School District first wanting to find out how much the Decorah High School remodeling and additional project will cost.

After school officials have a better handle on that project, they can begin to pay some attention to plans for the John Cline property. They will not only know how much money they could devote to the John Cline property, they will be able to plan how they would like the tennis courts and the rest of the green space to be laid out.

City of Decorah officials say they still expect to ask for construction bids on the new tennis courts some time this summer, with construction done yet this year.
