Injured Luther football player Chris Norton records a video

Injured Luther College football player Chris Norton has posted a video to YouTube.

In it the freshman from Altoona, Iowa says his recovery "was very tough in the beginning." He was seriously injured during a kick-off in Luther's football game against Central College. Chris says he "could not feel a thing" after initially being taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. But he says "every day I could feel a tad more."

Doctors say Chris continues to improve. He says his rehab has been helped along by the staff at St. Mary's, which encourages him. "They love seeing improvement," he says, noting that the staff tries to make the recovery process exciting.

"It's been a bumpy road, but it's been good," says Norton. He continues to push himself and is aiming to return to the Luther campus next fall. "I want the best improvement I can possibly get," he says.
