Rockwell Collins 5k raises money for Celebration of Life

A 5k walk and run organized by Rockwell Collins employees in Decorah has raised $1,910 to Winneshiek County Celebration of Life.

Rockwell typically organizes fundraisers each year for local charities. This year they combined the effort with their wellness committee's efforts to create a new event for employees and their families.  Six breast cancer survivors work at the Decorah Rockwell Collins facility, so the event organizers chose Winneshiek County Celebration of Life because all the money raised stays in the area to help local women.

Winneshiek County Celebration of Life is a non-profit organization focused on promoting breast cancer awareness and early detection of disease through education and financial support of preventive and screening services.
