The Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission, the manager of Minneapolis' Metrodome, announced Wednesday that repairs to the facility will not be completed until March, leading to the cancellation of a number of college baseball games planned at the facility, including two games involving Luther College.
Executive Director Bill Lester said the Metrodome typically hosts hundreds of college baseball games in early spring. Around 300 baseball games were scheduled for February and March in the dome. Luther College was scheduled to play St. John's University on February 28th and Gustavus Adolphus College on March 13th, but those games have been canceled, along with 250 other small-college baseball games.
