The on-campus Child Development Center at NICC Calmar campus has agreed to participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Institutions which participate in CACFP may provide meals at no separate charge to enrolled children and adults. Meals are provided without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
The federal program aims to improve the quality of day care for children and elderly adults by making care more affordable for many low-income families. CACFP delivers assistance to 2.9 million children and 86,000 adults through meals and snacks each day as part of their day care.
