NE Iowa Funders Network Honored at Iowa Nonprofit Summit

The Northeast Iowa Funders Network, a coalition of community foundations in Allamakee, Clayton, Chickasaw, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek counties, has received the "Nonprofit Collaboration Award" from the Iowa Nonprofit Summit.  

The Funders Network received the award for organizations with revenues less than $500,000.  In 2010, the Funders Network leveraged both leadership contributions and financial contributions to assist the Northeast Iowa Food and Fitness Initiative and the creation of the Farm to School Cross-Age Teaching Folios promoting local foods. The Funder's Network grant of $,9720 impacted more than 1400 children and families in school communities across a six-county region.
