Decorah HS band students will play Christmas carols Tuesday at local nursing homes

The Decorah High School Band will be caroling at the three local care centers on Tuesday.  This is a part of the annual holiday tradition of the DHS band for more than 20 years.

"We split the 115 member DHS band up into three equal groups and fan out in the community," commented DHS Band Director Jim Fritz.  Performances will take place at the same time at Aase Haugen, Eastern Star and Wellington Place.

Said Fritz, "The residents really enjoy it, and it's a great opportunity for our students."
