Award-winning filmmaker John de Graaf has agreed to be a featured speaker at the Oneota Film Festival in January.
De Graaf will present a workshop at the Festival on how to make documentary films. He will also give a talk about the Overall Happiness Project in Seattle, which deals with sustaining quality of life on the local level. De Graaf also will participate in a panel discussion following a film set, which includes one or more of his films.
Among the films being shown at OFF is de Graaf's "What's the Economy For, Anyway?" The documentary is humorous, entertaining and engaging in its exploration of the realities of today's U.S. economy compared to the economies of other industrialized nations.
