Decorah Fire Department urges: Please clean snow from around fire hydrants

The Decorah Fire Department is requesting the public's help in clearing access to fire hydrants in the City of Decorah and Freeport area.  

Fire Department spokesperson Steve Vanden Brink says, "We ask that you help us by clearing a path to the fire hydrant from the road.   Also clear the area around the hydrant.   This will allow us to access the hydrant without delay if needed.   If you have one on your block that is not clear help the Fire Department and your neighbor be ready in case there is a fire."
