Mr. Answer Person says: "Thanks for your timely e-mail, Niki.  It allows Mr. Answer Person to remind people living in the City of Decorah that there's a city ordinance (12.32.010, if you are keeping score at home!) that makes it a misdemeanor "to fail to remove snow, ice and accumulations from the sidewalks promptly."  Contact the City Clerk's Office at (563) 382-3651 if you have a complaint.

This is also a good time for Mr. Answer Person to pass along a comment by City Council member Steve Matter, who says "shoveling from the sidewalk to the street is just as important as shoveling the sidewalk."

Get out those shovels and get to work!!
