The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department has released the names of the two people who died of heart attacks while hunting in the county last weekend.

The first victim has been identified as Wayne ("Wally") Waldera of La Crosse.  He was hunting with friends in the Bluffton area on Saturday.  His friends found his unconscious body in a wooded area and were unable to resuscitate him.

The second victim has been identified as Thomas Lekar of waterloo.  Lekar was hunting with friends in the Highlandville area on Saturday.  Like Waldera, Lekar's unconscious body was found by friends in a wooded area.  He was unable to be resuscitated.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says their investigations showed that there was no accidental shooting or discharge of a weapon in either case.
