The fate of the proposed 70-unit assisted living facility on Serenity Drive in Decorah is uncertain after Traditions Management late Monday afternoon withdrew its request that the Decorah City council consider the site plan.
City Administrator Jerry Freund says he was contacted late in the day by officials from Traditions, who asked for more time to consider the legal issues raised by opponents of the project.
The project is now in limbo somewhat, as no date has been set for the city council to resume its discussion.
