John Langhorne

When business consultant John Langhorne decided to write a book with his insights, knowledge and solutions gained over 25 years of working with businesses, he realized that most business managers don't have a lot of time.  The result was an "un-book" that contains 75 short, practical articles in easily managed segments.

Langhorne will read from and discuss "Beyond Luck" at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Decorah Public Library.  Books will be available for purchase following the program.

Langhorne's book covers six major topics--management practices; management principles; leadership and executive behavior; motivation and morale, jobs and job loss; and personal development.

Langhorne started Langhorne Associates in 1984. Since then, he has worked with leaders and managers in more than 300 private-sector companies as well as many nonprofits and public-sector organizations. Langhorne has written dozens of short, illuminating articles about leadership, management, organizations and personal development for his clients and as a columnist for the Corridor Business Journal.
