Oneota Film Festival announces dates for 2nd annual Fest

The Board of Directors of Oneota Film Festival has announced the second annual Festival will be held January 21st through the 23rd at Luther College.

Festival organizers are planning over 15 sets of films, plus panel discussions with filmmakers and other specialists and experts on relevant topics. The Festival will include films on sustainable living, ecotourism, local economies, adventure sports, social justice, shorts, and some locally produced films.  The films are intended to generate discussion of local activity and initiatives related to sustainability issues.

Kyra Bellrichard of Decorah will serve as director of the festival.  Kyra and other committee members are currently contacting local businesses interested in sponsoring the Festival,  a specific film or advertising in the program.  They're also accepting private donations at the Festival web site:  www.oneotafilmfestival.org.   Donations and sponsorships are tax deductible through the Driftless Arts Collective (formerly DRAC), fiscal agent for the festival.  Businesses interested in sponsorships can contact Bellrichard at (808) 372-5958.  Individuals interested in volunteering can also contact Kyra directly or go to the Festival web site to sign up.
