Decorah School Board completes paperwork on bond financing

All the necessary paperwork has been completed to allow the Decorah Community School district to borrow almost $14 million dollars for remodeling and addition projects at John Cline and Decorah High School.

Decorah School Board members met for just five minutes on Monday to approve the necessary resolutions for two loans from UMB Bank of Kansas City.  There are two bond issues--one for $10.4 million that voters approved in a bond referendum and another for $3.3 million in refinancing of Carrie Lee bonding that was also approved by voters.
