Castalia man reported as missing returns home safe and sound

The Winneshiek County Sheriff Department has canceled its search for a missing Castalia man after he returned home at 2:30 a.m. Monday.

42-year-old Darrin Dennis was seen walking away from his home at 5:00 p.m. Saturday wearing a black pullover sweatshirt with red writing on the front "Postville" and the name "Darrin" or "Dennis" on the back of the hooded sweatshirt.

Nearly 32 hours after Dennis left his house, he returned home safe and sound and the missing persons report was canceled.
