Police handle two weekend accidents

Police handled two accidents involving parked cars over the weekend.

On Friday afternoon 61-year-old Marlys Vandemark struck the side of a parked car owned by 38-year-old Devin Johnson of Decorah, causing $2,500 in damages.  The accident occurred in the Northeast Security Bank parking lot off State Street.

Another accident occurred when 30-year-old Charles Sullivan of Ridgeway backed into a parked car owned by Joshua Meltzer of Postville.  The accident on Sanford Street caused $8,000 in damages.
