"Eat and Be Merry"

Another Decorah resident is trying to win the statewide "Dream Big Grow Here" contest.  Decorah native Britney Bakken has entered November's contest for a $1,000 grant.

Bakken is starting the business "Eat and Be Merry," which will cook food for families and the elderly.  She will focus on cooking with local and organic foods, providing nutritious and tasty meals to busy families and the elderly.  Bakken states, "Food is essential to our health and it should taste good too."

The winner of the grant is determined by how many votes each individual or business receives.  In June, Bakken had applied for the grant and lost by 60 votes.

Each person may vote once per day by going to http://www.myentre.net/busProfile/tabid/95/Default.aspx?entry=268.
