A & J Construction of Ridgeway has been tentatively awarded a contract for the expansion of the Dairy Education Center on the NICC Calmar campus. Their bid of $1,011,958 was the lowest of the bids submitted by nine vendors. The contract award is contingent on bonding and other requirements being met.
The new facilities will support a new Chemical Technology program and additional science courses. The project is being funded by Accelerated Career in Education finding from the State of Iowa.
The NICC Board of Trustees has also approved the low bid for college interior and exterior signage to Nagle Signs of Waterloo for $116,911. This project is being funded from the $35 million bond levy.
