Decorah students chosen for the Iowa Junior Honors Orchestra Festival at Iowa State University on Friday

Four Decorah musicians have been selected to attend the Iowa Junior Honors Orchestra Festival at Iowa State University on Friday.

9th grade cellist Rebecca Alcock, 9th grade violinist Blake Taylor, 8th grade cellist Leah Blekeberg, cello and 7th grade violinist Andrew Larson have been selected based on their performance.

The Iowa Music Educator's Association and Iowa String Teachers' Association are sponsoring the event.   Concordia College Assistant Professor Jane Linde Capistran and Aurora, Illinois musician John William Burck will be the two conductors.
