Changes being made to Winneshiek County's 2011 road project list

Three road projects are being added to Winneshiek County's 2011 road construction program, one project is being pushed back to 2012 and one project will cost less than projected.

Winneshiek County Engineer Lee Bjerke presented the amended road construction project list to supervisors on Monday.  The changes will add a little bit more expense to the road budget, but Bjerke says the budget will stay close to the roughly $2.5 million original projection.

Being added to the 2011 road construction schedule are a bridge on 253rd Avenue near Bluffton; a bridge on Middle Hesper Road and a bridge on Quarry Hill Road.  A bridge project on West Ravine Street will be delayed until 2012, while the cost of a replacement bridge on Happy Hollow Road will be less than projected.
