District 16 State Representative Bob Hager and House Majority Leader Linda Upmeyer.

Now that Bob Hager has been elected to the Iowa House of Representatives, the Dorchester Republican is working to get familiar with his new job.

Hager visited the State Capitol Monday to attend the first caucus of the Iowa House Republicans.  Hager spent time meeting with the newly-elected House Majority Leader Linda Upmeyer.  Hager joined in discussion about the upcoming 2011 session as well as the Republicans' legislative priorities.

Said Hager, "I will be focused on reducing the size and reach of government, eliminating wasteful spending, and putting Iowans back to work."

The 2011 session begins January 10th.
