Ten RSVP volunteers recognized for over 500 hours of volunteering

Ten RSVP volunteers have been honored for 500 plus hours of service.  Carol Birkland, David Brown, Phyllis Burri, Dottie Evjen, Jeanne Hageman, Carol Kelly, Ray Kvamme, Carolyn Livingood, Harland Nelson and Sharon Rossman have received "gold awards" from the program.

The ten volunteers are among the 243 RSVP volunteers serving at 51 different non-profit agencies in Northeast Iowa.  During the past grant year, those volunteers provided 20,953 hours of service in their community.  That time is valued at $337,000, according to standards developed by one Iowa organization.
