North Winneshiek School Board approves several financial measures

The North Winneshiek School Board will submit a bill to Mabel-Canton School for costs associated with the shuttle bus from the North Winneshiek School to the Mabel-Canton High School and back again.  The shuttle transports 9-12 students who are a part of the sharing agreement with Mabel-Canton.

Also the board approved an application to the School Budget Review Committee to request allowable growth and supplemental aid to cover the 2009-2010 special education deficit.  The district will not be harmed financially from the special education deficit.  Allowable growth gives the district permission to spend funds to cover the special education deficit from the previous school year.  The request was for $30,430.20.
