Depot Outlet awards another $5,000 to community organizations

The Depot Outlet Board of Directors has just awarded another $7,000 in grants to five community organizations.

Zion Lutheran Church will receive $2,300 to help pay the cost of new flooring in the church parsonage.  ArtHaus in Decorah will receive $2,000 to help pay for scholarships for students who want to take classes by need financial assistance.  The Northeast Iowa Montessori School will receive $1,100 to help pay for installing a fence at its new Water Street facility.  The Decorah Public Library will receive $1,000 for its after school program.  The Winneshiek County Historical Society will receive $625 to help pay for repainting a number of historic signs.    

In the ten months of 2010, the Depot Outlet Board of Directors has given $62,991.30 of grants to local organizations in Winneshiek County.

Depot Outlet Director Stacy Merrill presents a $2,000 check to Kristen Underwood and Lea Donhowe Lovelace, co-directors of ArtHaus.
