The Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier is reporting a 44-year-old Ossian man has pleaded guilty to animal neglect charges involving more than a dozen horses.
The newspaper says Kelly Olson of Ossian agreed to the guilty plea in exchange for being released from the Chickasaw County jail on Tuesday after spending 108 days behind bars. Under terms of the plea agreement, Olson was convicted of the serious misdemeanor charge of animal neglect causing injury or death in exchange for having four other counts dismissed.
