Luther College Ministries has begun accepting Fall Fling appointments

Luther College Ministries has begun scheduling appointments for its annual Fall Fling.  The event, which will be held this year on October 23rd, schedules Luther College student volunteers to help Decorah area residents with light-duty household work, including yard raking, house and yard cleaning, gutter cleaning, installing storm windows, washing windows and similar tasks.

Any member of the Decorah community who is elderly, handicapped or simply in need of assistance may participate in this event.  To schedule workers or to sign up to participate, contact Luther College Campus Ministries at (563) 387-1040 by Friday, October 15th.

There is no charge for the Fall Fling services, however participating households often offer to give a donation. This year's donations have been designated by the Luther College Student Congregation to benefit the Decorah Area Free Clinic and Lutheran World Relief for efforts in responding to the devastating floods in Pakistan.
