New recycling bin has been purchased for northern Winneshiek County

A new recycling collection bin for northern Winneshiek County has been purchased with a grant from the Winneshiek County Community Foundation.  The $5,000.00 grant covered 90 percent of the cost, with the rest of the money coming from the Winneshiek County Recycling Department's general budget.

The new bin is located in Hesper.  It has more than four times the capacity of the original collection bin. The northern Winneshiek County area has seen a tremendous growth in recycling participation in the last few years.
