Harmony, Minnesota restaurant wins Seed Savers' soup contest

And the winner is...Quarter/Quarter.

Five area restaurants participated in Seed Savers Exchange's Harvest Soup Cook-Off this year, using recipes featuring the Kilimanjaro Speckled bean.  QUARTER/quarter of Harmony, Minnesota, took home the top prize for their African Bean and Root Vegetable Soup, narrowly beating out competitors Cafe Magpie, La Rana Bistro, Oneota Food Co-op and McCaffrey's Dolce Vita, all of Decorah. 

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit local food banks.
