Registration has begun for a basic class in grant writing at Northeast Iowa Community College's Calmar campus.
The class will teach the fundamentals of identifying grant opportunities and writing successful proposals to secure grant funding for your organization. Explore resources to research prospective funding streams, draft the opening elements of a grant proposal and discuss practical tips (as well as some common misconceptions) about getting your proposal noticed and read. The workshop will focus on grant seeking from private sector sources, though basic techniques are also applicable to government requests.
The class will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 16th, in the Wilder Resource Center, Room J of the NICC Calmar campus. The cost is $49.00. Pre-registration is required.
