Ask Mr. Answer Person: "What is going on with the construction on Winnebago Street in front of the library?"

According to City Engineer Lindsay Erdman, "We have been discussing sidewalk work in that block since last summer 2009. Once the block as a whole indicated an interest in the replacement of the walks we decided to also replace a portion of the parking area that was falling apart. Along with this we will change the block to include the same red border walk we use in the rest of downtown and place the underground conduit work to address our needs for our fiber network and street lights. It is a fairly small, but complex project as there are numerous items needed in a relatively small project."
