Luther College has announced it will induct four alumni into the Luther Athletic Hall of Fame, including Decorah High School head wrestling coach Jeff Friedhof.

Freidhof, a 2000 graduate of Luther, currently serves as mathematics teacher, head wrestling coach, head sophomore football coach and assistant varsity football coach at Decorah High School.  He holds the USA Wrestling Bronze Level Coaching Certification.

As a Luther student-athlete wrestler, Freidhof was a four-year letter winner, a four-time NCAA National wrestling tournament qualifier and a three-time all-American.  He holds the Luther record for most wins with a career record of 149-53.  Friedhof was all-Lutheran wrestling tournament champion in 1999 and IIAC conference champion in 1998.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, October 9th, in the Noble Recital Hall in the Jenson-Noble Music Hall. The event is part of Luther College's 2010 Homecoming weekend.

In addition to Friedhof, Athletic Hall of Fame inductees will include 2000 graduate Lynn Tomaszewski, a former Luther golfer; 1985 graduate Paul Quere, a former cross country, track and field and swimming athlete; and 2000 graduate Maria Miller-Rinaldi, a former Luther tennis player.
