Christy e-mails Mr. Answer Person: "Why are the hanging plants still up? They are looking bad and no amount of water will help them at this time of year."

Ask and Mr. Answer Person will deliver!  Actually, it had been planned to take down the flower baskets WAAAAY before your question was sent to Mr. A. P.

City of Decorah crews began taking down the flower baskets on Wednesday (There are 204 baskets total).  The flower baskets usually remain up until Luther Homecoming weekend, but this year's summer weather was tough on them.

Incidentally, Mr. Answer Person wouldn't miss the opportunity to remind readers that the flower baskets are a project handled by the Downtown Decorah Betterment Association--and that a donation of any amount of money to help continue this project would be appreciated (Mail your checks to DDBA, 507 W.
