Registration underway for NICC boiler maintenance course

Northeast Iowa Community College has begun accepting registrations for a Boiler Maintenance Technician course that will be offered from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning October 13th and running through December 14th.

Instructor Luke Wolfs will teach the course, which will cover all facets of steam boiler operation maintenance and trouble shooting.  Wolfs teaches common boiler auxiliaries, operation techniques and operation safety and efficiency.
 
Participants must have a current Boiler Operator I certificate and bring a hand calculator to each session.  The registration fee for the class includes the textbook, workbook and the exam.  To register, call NICC at (800) 728-2256, extension 399, by Monday, October 4th so that textbooks can be ordered.  For more information, contact Mary Steen, NICC continuing education program manager, at extension 341.
