The Northeast Iowa Community College Foundation has received a $2,000 grant from Bank of the West.
The money will be used to support an Adult Literacy Services initiative that will assist Howard County adult residents in obtaining a GED and improving their English language and basic skills.
The contribution from Bank of the West's Protivin office is aimed at increasing educational degree attainment among Howard County residents and making a positive impact on the area's workforce.
The NICC Adult Literacy Services program will apply Bank of the West's donation toward educational support for Howard County students who want to obtain their high school degree and/or gain adult basic education skills.
