Tuesday's Decorah School District special election prompted a 25 percent voter turnout. 2,244 out of 8,797 registered voters in the district cast ballots (25.5% turnout.)
Winneshiek County Auditor Ben Steines says the polling site was very busy all day. Steines thanks the public for being patient when waiting in line. He says his office also especially appreciates the Precinct Election Officials, who worked non-stop from 6:00am – 9:30pm.
