City council approves payment for grant application

The Decorah City Council has approved a contract with Northeast Iowa Resource Conservation & Development for grant writing services. 

The city is applying for funding for the Highway 9 Trout Run Trail Bridge.  The agency will be paid $750 for preparing the application.  If the city receives the grant, it will pay Northeast Iowa Resource Conservation & Development one percent of the grant, less the original $750.
