"Recessionfest" to return to Decorah this month

Organizers of the 2010 Recessionfest say the event September 24th and 25th at the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds is meant "to revive the music scene in Decorah."  One of the organizers, Jordan Meltzer, met with city council members on Tuesday night to answer questions about the event.  Meltzer also asked for permission to have the music continue until 11:30 p.m. both nights, instead of 11:00 p.m.  But city council members were reluctant to give their approval, noting that there were problems on Friday of last year's Recessionfest with music going beyond the scheduled cut-off time.
