Luther College launches new mobile website

Luther College has launched a website specifically designed for mobile communication devices.  m.luther.edu features links to the Luther College campus maps, directions to campus, the cafeteria menu, events calendar, laboratory schedules and even a "caf cam" that shows the number of diners in the cafeteria.

The mobile website was prompted by the overwhelming number of visits the Luther College website is receiving from mobile devices, said Luther executive director of communication and marketing Rob Larson.

"Over nine percent of the website's recent traffic has been from mobile devices, and this proportion is growing rapidly," said Larson.  "The new website has been designed with the user in mind, giving the most trafficked areas features on the new mobile website."

The mobile website is the first phase of an overall website update that is scheduled for launch in October.
