Luther College has started its own "Edible Landscaping Project." The Pepperfield Project and the Luther College Sustainability Office are working with Environmental Philosophy students on the project.
Luther's newest garden is located between Valders Hall of Science and the old greenhouse. Chard and kale lined pathways lead visitors past a large bean teepee, heirloom tomatoes, lemon basil patches, and rows of broom corn.
The purpose of the garden is to serve as a test case to show how vegetables can be incorporated into the Luther landscape.
