Three Winneshiek County 4-Hers win contest at Iowa State Fair

A group of 4H students from Winneshiek County has won one of the contests at the Iowa State Fair.

Logan Brincks, Lucas Brincks and Devin Franzen called themselves the "Master Builders of Winneshiek County."  They finished first in the "Junk Drawer Challenge."  Each team was given identical drawers full of materials. The challenge was to design and build a robot capable of accomplishing a specified task, using only the materials given in the "junk drawer".

The team also received the Clover Award for their exemplary demonstration of 4-H values including teamwork, cooperation, generosity, responsibility, learning, working within space, time, and materials constraints, and showing respect for others.
