Auditions to be Friday for NMP children's show

Auditions will be held Friday, August 27th for the New Minowa Players children's show, "Three Boys With Jugs of Molasses and Secret Ambitions."  Director Rick Scheffert is looking for actors from age 5 through 8th grade to perform.  Based on the Carl Sandburg story of the same name, the story was adapted for the stage by Rick Scheffert and features music and lyrics written by Sheryl Scheffert.  The story tells of the extraordinary things that happen when three boys are all sent to the store at the same time for jugs of molasses.   There are great characters for both boys and girls and the show requires solo singers as well as a supporting chorus.

Auditions will be held Friday, August 27th at 5:15 in the New Minowa Players Theatre, 906 S. Mill St., Decorah. Rehearsals will begin the following week and will run Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15-6:30 pm until the week of performance, at which time a Wednesday rehearsal will be added and rehearsal time will be extended.
