Now that school has resumed, young people ages 8 and older are welcome to visit "YourSpace," a free, supervised drop in activities center in Decorah Public Library's downstairs public meeting room. On Mondays, from 3:15 to 5:00 visitors can use the room to visit with friends, get help with or work on homework, play games or work on a craft activity. A light snack will be available. Wii gaming will be available in the YourSpace room all but the second Tuesday of each month, from 3:00 to 4:45 pm.
In addition to the Monday and Tuesday regular schedule, special programs will be scheduled once per month featuring guest speakers and facilitators or specific creative and educational themes. Some may require pre-registration. All programs will be publicized on the library's website.
