New Minowa Players announces audition schedule

New Minowa Players has announced it is looking for actors from age 5 through 8th grade to perform in the children's show "Three Boys With Jugs of Molasses and Secret Ambitions." 

Based on the Carl Sandburg story of the same name, the story was adapted for the stage by Rick Scheffert and features music and lyrics written by Sheryl Scheffert.  Both boys and girls are needed, as are solo singers as well as chorus members.

Director Rick Scheffert says auditions will be held Friday, August 27th at 5:15 p.m. in the New Minowa Players Theatre, 906 S. Mill St., Decorah. Rehearsals will begin the following week and will run Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. until the week of performance, at which time a Wednesday rehearsal will be added and rehearsal time will be extended.  Performance dates are October 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th.
