Accident on Highway 24 near Fort Atkinson destroys car

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says an Ossian man suffered minor injuries in a one-car rollover on Highway 24 west of Fort Atkinson Sunday night.

23-year-old Jose Carlos Ortiz lost control of his 1998 Ford Expedition on a curve.  The car went off the road, striking an embankment and a culvert.  The car was totaled.  Ortiz was taken home by private vehicle.  He was ticketed for failure to maintain control and failure to have a valid drivers license.
