Entries for DRAC renaming contest must be submitted by the end of this week

The Decorah Regional Arts Council will be getting a new name in a week, which means the deadline to enter the renaming contest is coming up soon.

Everyone has been invited to submit suggestions on the website  artistsformerlyknownasdrac.com, but there are just a few days left before the contest closes August 15th. 

There is no limit on the number of names one can submit.  The council board will vote on the best name, and the winner will get a prize package currently valued at more than $1,000.

The new name and winner will be announced at the "Super Swanky Launch Party" at 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 17th at the Hotel Winneshiek's Steyer Opera House. A "Kids Dance Hour" from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. will precede the announcement, while music and dancing will follow the announcement.
