Decorah Tree Board receives $1,500 grant

The Decorah Tree Board has been awarded a $1,500 grant from the Branching Out program of the Iowa Trees Forever organization. The program is a three-way partnership between Alliant Energy, Trees Forever and the Decorah Tree Board.

The money will be used as a matching grant to plant trees along the Trout Run Trail. This is the third year of a three-year commitment by the Board to plant trees along the new recreational trail. The community planting date will be announced.   Volunteers will be needed for the planting project.
